ABSTRACT: GR-569 replaces TR-TSY-000569, Issue 1, but contains NO TECHNICAL CHANGES from that original document. It has been issued strictly to
conform with the new Telcordia Technologies document format and GR process, and carries a new issue number and date.
Hunting groups provide a software-defined search for an idle (not busy) terminal to which a call can be completed. Four types of
hunting arrangements are possible for Multiline Groups (MLGs). This Generic Requirements document (GR) provides the view of Telcordia
on generic requirements for the following hunting arrangements:
- Regular hunting - provides a sequential hunt over the terminals in the hunting MLG.
- Circular hunting - similar to the regular hunting arrangement except that if no idle terminal is found by the time the last
terminal in the group is reached, the hunt starts at the first terminal in the group.
- Uniform Call Distribution (UCD) - a variation of circular hunting, providing an equal distribution of incoming calls to idle
terminals in the MLG.
- Preferential hunting - permits a separate hunting list to be associated with each terminal in the MLG.
GR-560, GR-561, GR-562, GR-563, GR-564, GR-565, GR-568, GR-569 replaced TR-TSY-000521 and TA-TSY-000229.
