ABSTRACT: This document identifies the view of Telcordia on generic technical requirements for analyzing single fiber and multi fiber fusion splice protectors. It includes the requirements, desired features, characteristics and objectives for fusion splice protectors and recommended test methods for comparing the product against the stated requirements.
