ABSTRACT: This document provides the view of Telcordia on generic switching and signaling requirements for call control and call-related services for Integrated Customer Advanced Network (ICAN) calls on Signaling System No. 7 (SS7) supported Virtual Private Facilities (VPFs) between Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) switches. VPFs are shared trunk circuits supported with SS7 Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) User Part (ISUP) signaling used to provide transport of ICAN calls between switches.
