ABSTRACT: This document provides the view of Telcordia on generic requirements for a Cable Penetration Seal Assembly (CPSA) used in Controlled Environment Vaults (CEVs) and manholes at cable and/or innerduct entrance locations to prevent fluid and/or gases from entering. The seal is established by compressing a sealing bushing between two plates to expand the seal bushing against the cable and/or innerducts and the opening in the CEVs and manholes.
