ABSTRACT: This document provides the view of Telcordia on generic criteria for single-mode fiber optic filters for use in Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) and other telecommunications networks employing optical communications systems that utilize Optical Fiber Amplifiers (OFAs), Wavelength Division Multiplex (WDM) systems, Dense WDM (DWDM) systems, and nonintrusive testing of optical networks using Remote Fiber Test Systems (RFTSs).
