ABSTRACT: As more and more coaxial cable is placed by telecommunications companies and other service providers, good quality tools are required to install various types of distribution and drop type coaxial cable.

This document outlines the view of Telcordia on generic requirements for tools used for installing broadband coaxial cable networks used in a typical Local Exchange Carrier or other service providers' network environment.

The document includes the physical, mechanical, and environmental requirements and the corresponding test methods for product analysis.
