ABSTRACT: This document contains generic requirements criteria for hybrid splice/connector products for single-mode optical fiber. Such products combine some characteristics of splice products and some characteristics of connector products. Examples are splices that can be demated and remated through multiple cycles and field-mountable connectors incorporating a second closely spaced splice joint within the connector body.
