ABSTRACT: GR-2952, Generic Requirements for Portable Wavelength Division Multiplexer Analyzers, Issue 1, December 1997, Revision 1, December 1998 represents the view of Telcordia on generic requirements and characteristics for portable WDM Analyzer test sets used to test a wavelength division multiplexed system.

This GR contains information that can be used by suppliers to determine the generic features that Telcordia believes are needed to provide satisfactory service as a WDM Analyzer. WDMA also contains information to help WDMA users to select test equipment that meets their WDMA needs.

The document includes generic operation, mechanical and performance criteria, and a general description of performance tests.
