ABSTRACT: The use of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Signs, Symbols and Awareness helps protect electronic devices and systems by preventing the ESD discharge by uninformed personnel or visitors.

This document defines the minimum requirements for signs, symbols, and awareness used to help assure that the information is correctly communicated, easy to understand, and placed at a location where it is readily accessible.
