ABSTRACT: This Generic Requirements document (GR) provides requirements for using Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) applications in managing security-related network information and for securing CORBA-based network management transactions. The scope of this GR extends to the TMN Q, X, and F interfaces. These requirements can assist system engineers and developers of network management systems in implementing appropriate security measures for CORBA-based transactions. CORBA security services are described. Requirements are defined for achieving TMN protections applied to other components and technologies.
