ABSTRACT: The purpose of this document is to define proposed generic requirements for communication using Common Management Information Services (CMIS's) and Abstract Syntax Notation 1 (ASN.1) over the Embedded Operations Channel (EOD) of DS1-based Integrated Digital Loop Carrier (IDLC) systems that meet requirements defined in GR-303-CORE, Integrated Digital Loop Carrier System Generic Requirements, Objectives and Interface.

This document replaces TR-TSY-000303, Integrated Digital Loop Carrier (IDLC) System Generic Requirements, Objectives and Interface, Supplement 3, and its revision; and SR-NWT-002966, Implementation Aid: Translation of IDLC TR-303 Supplement 3 Macros to GDMO Templates.
