ABSTRACT: GR-3106 specifies the technical generic requirements for the Line Information Database (LIDB) to support two distinct Wireless
Intelligent Network (WIN)-based operations (messages) that are defined in the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and
Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) Standards: TIA/EIA-41 Search and TIA/EIA-41 Modify. The TIA/EIA-41 Search message would enable the
Query Originator (QO) (e.g., a Wireless Service Provider [WSP]) to retrieve information related to a 10-digit wireline or wireless
number that is stored in LIDB to support any generic wireless service. Also, a WSP may need to change the value of a specific data
element in LIDB during, before, or after the course of a call. The TIA/EIA-41 Modify message would enable the QO (e.g., a WSP) to
update/modify information related to a 10-digit wireline or wireless number that is stored in LIDB.
This new Telcordia GR document details the specific requirements for LIDB to process and respond to TIA/EIA-41 Search and TIA/EIA-41
