ABSTRACT: GR-324, Issue 1, focuses on generic requirements and operational aspects of Maintenance Termination Units (MTUs) that, in the view of Telcordia, are needed for proper service and maintenance performance. An MTU that meets the criteria herein will be compatible with a Local Test Desk (LTD), Mechanized Loop Testing (MLT and MLT-2), and other test systems that incorporate the MTU test capability.
