ABSTRACT: This document replaces TA-NWT-0000528 and TR-TSY-000528.

This document presents switching system generic requirements for public telecommunications services. This GR updates a group of Feature Specific Documents (FSDs) previously found in Issue 2 of TR-TSY-000528, LSSGR: Coin and Charge-a-Call. TR-TSY-000528 comprised four distinct FSDs (Coin Service, Expanded In-Band Signaling, Improved Public Telephone Service, and Charge-a-Call Service). This GR is intended to be in the form of a single FSD covering all pertinent aspects of switch requirements relating to public telecommunications services. The public telecommunications services generic requirements presented in this document supersede any similar proposed generic requirements published or implied before the publication of this document.
