ORDERING INFORMATION
ABSTRACT: GR-536 replaces TR-TSY-000536, Issue 2 and its Revision 1, but contains NO TECHNICAL CHANGES from that original document. It has been
issued strictly to conform with the new Telcordia Technologies document format and GR process, and carries a new issue number and date.
These Feature Specific Documents (FSDs) give the Telcordia view of proposed requirements for an Interface to Loop Test Systems (FSD
40-02-0301) and a Dialable Cable Pair Locator Tone (FSD 40-04-0100). FSD 40-02-0301 provides the Stored Program Control Switching
System (SPCS)/Operations System (OS) interface requirements for conventional sleeve-lead controlled and metallic loop testing under the
control of a multiplicity of loop test systems. The loop test systems include Nos. 14 and 16 Local Test Desks (LTDs), Mechanized Loop
Test (MLT) Systems, Detection of Unauthorized Equipment (DUE) hardware, and the Switched Access Remote Test System (SARTS) phantom
connector.
The Dialable Cable Pair Locator Tone described in FSD 40-04-0100 is a feature designed to give the field technician the capability
via a secured dial-up access to apply identification tone to a single subscriber loop. This eliminates the involvement of the main
frame personnel in applying the identification tone on working subscriber lines.
