ORDERING INFORMATION
ABSTRACT: GR-564 replaces TR-TSY-000564, Issue 1, but contains NO TECHNICAL CHANGES from that original document. It has been issued strictly to
conform with the new Telcordia Technologies document format and GR process, and carries a new issue number and date.
Code Restriction and Diversion provides destination limitations on calls originated at designated lines and private facilities.
Various blocking treatments, including announcements, reorder tone, and intercept, may be specified. Code Restriction and Diversion
consists of several subfeatures:
A. Code Restriction
B. Code Diversion for Basic Business Group (BBG) Lines (also known as Code Diversion to Attendant)
C. Code Diversion for Private Branch Exchange (PBX) Lines
D. Toll Restriction (also known as Toll Restricted Service, a special case of Code Restriction)
E. Toll Diversion for BBG Lines (a special case of Code Diversion for BBG Lines)
F. Toll Diversion for PBX Lines (a special case of Code Diversion for PBX Lines).
In each case, the net effect is to limit the range of destinations to which a given line or private facility may direct calls. A
given line/private facility may be assigned,at most, one of the subfeatures.
This GR provides the view of Telcordia on generic requirements on Code Restriction and Diversion features.
