This Generic Requirements document (GR) provides the view of Telcordia on generic requirements for Anonymous Call Rejection (ACR) for residential and small business customers. Anonymous Call Rejection (ACR) allows customers to reject calls from parties who have a privacy feature that prevents the delivery of their calling number to the called party. When ACR is active, the called customer receives no alerting for a call that is rejected; the call is routed to a denial announcement and subsequently terminated.

The scope of the service described in this document is limited to conventional telephone customers; application of this service to Integrated Servcies Digital Network (ISDN) customers is beyond the scope of this document.
