ABSTRACT: Issue 2 of GR-586, Call Forwarding Subfeatures (FSD 01-02-1450), replaces Issue 1.

This Generic Requirements document (GR) provides the Telcordia view of generic requirements for Call Forwarding (CF) subfeatures. CF subfeatures allow users to redirect calls automatically from their network address to another network address. CF subfeatures provide, for example, redirection of calls when the user's address is busy, or redirection of calls when the user does not answer.

GR-586 replaces TR-TSY-000586, Issue 1 and Bulletin 1, but contains NO TECHNICAL CHANGES from that original document.

GR-586 has been reissued to include Bulletin 1, July 1995. Bulletin 1 of TR-TSY-000586 provided the necessary changes to allow the Don't Answer Time interval associated with the Call Forwarding Don't Answer (CFDA) feature to be set to a value of zero (0) seconds.
