ORDERING INFORMATION
ABSTRACT: GR-590 replaces TR-TSY-000590, Issue 1, but contains NO TECHNICAL CHANGES from that original document. It has been issued strictly to
conform with the new Telcordia Technologies document format and GR process, and carries a new issue number and date.
The Call Pickup features allow, within a business group under service-specific conditions, one station to answer a call directed to
another station. Four pickup services are included: Call Pickup (CPU), Directed Call Pickup without Barge-In (DPN), Directed Call
Pickup with Barge-In (DPU), and Trunk Answer Any Station (TAS). CPU is based on the concept of a CPU group (i.e., members of a CPU
group may pick up calls from other group members, while non members may not). DPN and DPU are based on the direct identification of the
station whose call is to be picked up as part of the activation process. TAS depends on the activation of Attendant Night Service; TAS
may not be successfully applied unless Night Service has been activated by the business group attendant.
This Generic Requirements document (GR) describes the view of Telcordia on requirements for the four Call Pickup features mentioned
above.
