ORDERING INFORMATION
ABSTRACT: GR-604 replaces TR-NWT-000604, Issue 1, and its Revision 1, but contains NO TECHNICAL CHANGES from that original document. It has been
issued strictly to conform with the new Telcordia Technologies document format and GR process, and carries a new issue number and date.
Automatic Flexible Routing (AFR) provides dialing and routing features, either for a standalone business switching service customer,
or within the framework of the Electronic Tandem Switching (ETS) service. The dialing plan provides codes for stations on the customer
network (if one exists) and for reaching non network stations, while the routing plan provides efficient access to on-network and non
network stations via private and public facility groups. The AFR feature provides the following major services:
- Deluxe Automatic Route Selection (ARS), which provides efficient routing of off-network calls.
- Automatic Alternate Routing (AAR), which provides efficient routing of calls on a customer's network.
- Uniform Numbering (UN), which provides a 7-digit numbering plan for stations on a customer's network. The first 3 digits identify
the customer location, and the last 4 digits identify the particular line.
- Traveling Class Mark (TCM), which provides a mechanism for network class service.
This GR describes the view of Telcordia on generic requirements for the AFR feature. The interfiled revision updates the AFR text that
pertains to Automatic Message Accounting (AMA) requirements. It also updates the Reference list.
GR-600, GR-601, GR-602, GR-603, GR-604, GR-605, GR-610, GR-620, GR-621 and GR-632 replaced TR-TSY-000523.
