ABSTRACT: Issue 2 of GR-740, OTGR: Network Data Collection Operations System (NDC OS) to Element Management System (EMS)/Network Element (NE) Interface Using Object-Oriented Information Models, replaces Issue 1.

GR-740 contains the requirements for interfacing an Element Management System (EMS) or a Network Element (NE) with a Network Data Collection Operations System (NDC OS) for collecting traffic data. This interface provides support for traffic data collection from NEs or EMS's using object-oriented information models and is based on TR-740.

GR-740 provides message format specifications for the interface; the actual traffic measurements shall be specified in companion Special Reports (SRs). These SRs are EMS/NE-specific. In addition, a set of generic sections and keywords is presented in GR-3019.

Issue 2 of GR-740 includes changes to document organization and new subsections.
