The overall responsibility of network administration is to ensure the quality of service given by the switching network. In meeting this responsibility, the network administrator uses traffic data and various service indicators to evaluate service quality while ensuring efficient utilization of installed equipment. This Generic Requirements document (GR) describes input and output capabilities that a local Stored Program Control switching System (SPCS) should provide to the Network Administration Center (NAC) to perform the data and network switching administration functions.
