ABSTRACT: GR-745 replaces TR-NWT-000745, Issue 1, but contains NO TECHNICAL CHANGES from that original document. It has been issued strictly to conform with the new Telcordia Technologies document format and GR process, and carries a new issue number and date.

This Feature Specific Document (FSD) describes the Telcordia view of the proposed generic requirements for a Call Gapping (CGAP) switching system capability for "service specific" calls. This feature will allow companies to control access to services that benefit from CGAP controls. Services involving the use of the 700 and 900 Service Access Codes (SACs) are key examples. The new "Service Specific" Call Gapping (SSCG) capabilities are intended for application in End Office (EO) and Access Tandem (AT) offices located in the Local Access and Transport Area (LATA) environment. These capabilities are similar to, but separate and distinct from, the EO and AT CGAP code controls presently activated by Network Management (NM-CGAP).
