ABSTRACT: This document replaces GR-836-IMD, Issue 2, and its revisions.

This document presents the view of Telcordia on generic requirements for the information model of the system management interface between Operations systems (OS's) and Network Elements(NEs) using Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) management services and protocols. The model covers the areas of configuration management for Analog, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), Digital Data Service (DDS), DS0 to DS3, and video services, generic hardware and software management generic alarm surveillance, performance monitoring, and protection switching. The document provides detailed definition of the information model using (GDMO (Guidelines for the Definition of Managed Objects) templates and ASN.1 (Abstract Syntax Notation One) supporting productions.
