ABSTRACT: This document replaces TR-OPT-000839.

This document presents the view of Telcordia on generic requirements for training that a service provider would typically expect suppliers to provide with their products purchased by the service provider.

This applies to training on both hardware and software related to network element products (primarily switching and transport systems), operations systems, and for any other training required by a service provider, whether the training is provided directly by system suppliers or by third-party (contracted) course developers or training providers. These generic requirements are intended to assist in defining and standardizing the quality of training needed by a typical service provider. The requirements are also intended to help design training that is modularized by job function and that is service provider job-relevant. Individual service providers may elect to use this document in contract negotiations with suppliers.
