ABSTRACT: GR-965 replaces TR-NWT-000965, Issue 2, December 1991. There are NO TECHNICAL CHANGES from the original document. It has been issued strictly to conform with the new Telcordia Technologies document format and GR process, and carries a new issue number and date.

GR-965 describes the IntraLATA Private Line Services (IPLS's) that are appropriate for end-to-end voice-band applications. The document provides the Telcordia view of generic technical requirements, service features and valid interfaces for IPLS. Sufficient technical detail is furnished to permit a customer to select a channel service for incorporation into an end-to-end communications network, but the document is not intended to provide specific ordering information.

GR-965 provides transmission specifications and interface combinations for IPLS. The services described are considered to be nonsegmented and are identified by network channel codes in the "U" series (i.e., UC, UD, UG, UA and UQ). The five channels, which include multipoint designs are:

• Voice Trunk (UD)
• Analog Data (UG)
• Basic Voice-Grade Facility (UZ)
• Voice-Grade Custom (UQ)
