ORDERING INFORMATION
ABSTRACT: Voice Grade (VG) Special Access Services extend from an End-User Network Interface (EU-NI) to an Interexchange Carrier (IC) Point Of
Termination (IC-POT), or from one IC-POT to another IC-POT in the same Local Access and Transport Area (LATA). There are twelve VG
Special Access Services with predefined service features, transmission specifications, and interfaces, but a customer may also
construct a Voice Grade Customized (VGC) service from option lists of transmission specifications and compatible interface
combinations. IntraLATA Private Line Services (IPLS's) are applicable between two end-users' customer-provided terminal equipment and
are wholly contained in one LATA.
This Technical Reference (TR) describes VG Special Access Services and IPLS offered by Local Exchange Carriers to their customers.
The TR provides the view of Telcordia on generic technical requirements, distinguishes between service features, and defines valid
interfaces for the services described. The document describes VG Special Access Services and IPLS in sufficient technical detail to
permit a customer to select an appropriate configuration for incorporation into an end-to-end communications channel.
TR-NWT-000335 replaced TR-TSY-000335 and PUB-62501.
