This Technical Reference (TR) provides the Telcordia view of generic requirements for outside plant bonding and grounding systems hardware. It provides criteria for analyzing the system hardware that is intended for use in connecting two or more pieces of metallic telephone hardware, connecting to hardware belonging to another utility to maintain a common electrical potential, or connecting telephone hardware to an effective ground. The document also provides performance tests for comparing the product against these stated requirements and objectives.
