ABSTRACT: Pipe panels receive dry air directly from adjacent Central Office (CO) air dryers, and distribution panels receive dry air from an air dryer, a pipe panel, or an air pipe being fed by a pipe panel. The panels provide pressure regulation, pressure measurement, flow measurement, and distribution of pressurized dry air to the aircore cable plant.

This Technical Reference (TR) describes the Telcordia view of generic requirements for pipe and distribution panels that are used in continuous-feed, cable pressurization systems.
