ABSTRACT: The air flow transducers used in cable pressurization systems provide an electrical resistance output that is directly related to the amount of air flowing through the transducer, allow remote monitoring of the current air usage, and aid in the location of air leaks. These transducers are available in a variety of capacities that range from 0 to 100 Standard Cubic Feet per Hour (SCFH). Small-capacity transducers are used to monitor manifolds that distribute air to individual cables, and large-capacity transducers are used to monitor air pipes that feed a number of manifolds.
