ABSTRACT: The DS-0A (64-kbps interconnection) currently used in telecommunications digital data networks connects 64-kb/s signals to terminal and
multiplexing equipment. The DS-0A interconnection has application in the Common Channel Signaling (CCS) network links, Basic Dedicated
Digital Service (BDDS) circuits, Public Packet Switched Service (PPSS) trunks, Public Switched Digital Service (PSDS) trunks, and
Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) 64-kb/s Bearer (B) channels, as well as other situations not yet identified.
This Technical Reference (TR) contains the view of Telcordia on generic requirements for a DS-0A systems interconnection and is
intended for internal Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) central office use in connection with digital data links in various networks.
