ABSTRACT: This Technical Reference (TR) provides the view of Telcordia on detailed descriptions for the operations interfaces between embedded Operations Systems (OS's) and Network Elements (NEs). The embedded operations described in the document are: - Memory Administration - Network Maintenance: Network Element and Transport Surveillance - Network Maintenance: Access and Testing - Network Traffic Management - Network Traffic Data Administration.
The document provides an overview of embedded operations interfaces, their associated interface specifications, and the current Telcordia requirements documents for these interfaces. Also, the corresponding requirements and specifications for the operations application messages (a part of the generic operations interface) for each operations functional area are noted in each functional interface section.
