ABSTRACT: The 97A, 97B, and 97AB connecting blocks are 8-wire modular data jacks that provide an interface connection to the switched network for data modems registered as either Fixed-Loss Loop (FLL) or Programmable (PROG). To prevent accidental switching from FLL/PROG, the 97A/AB type units have a select switch that is mounted to the printed circuit board assembly.
